The School of Pharmacy at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences campus requires approval of the following courses:

II. Other admission requirements at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences campus

1. A minimum general academic index of 2.75 on a 4.00 scale.

2. A minimum average academic index of 2.75 on a 4.00 scale in Sciences. This requirement includes Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Physics.

3. All apllicants must take the Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) in or before the month of February during the year in which admission is being applied for. This exam is offered each year during the months of January, June, August and October.

4. Three letters of recommendation are required, two of these should be from the College's professors.

5. A written essay on a subject determined by the School's Admissions Board where student express their understanding on matters related to the health system and the pharmacy career. The date, time and place of this exam will be determined by the Admissions Board.

6. An interview with the Admissions Board where students will be required to discuss subjects such as their interest in the pharmacy career, social views and communication skills.
